🫣 A Hard Lesson in Public Speaking

Public speaking is no joke — it’s a skill that challenges even the most confident among us! Here’s a snapshot from my recent student demo at Otago Polytechnic, where I learned a few things the hard way:

- Nerves are real. Managing the shaky legs and racing thoughts takes practice.
- Body language matters. Keep your gestures intentional — no free-range hands!
- And my new golden rule: avoid standing directly under the projector light! They are not spotlight!💡

Beyond the spotlight mishap, it was amazing connecting with these passionate students. They're full of energy and big ideas for the future. It’s the kind of enthusiasm that fuels hope and creativity in ways we (Gen Y) could never have imagined!

A big thank to Dani Mao, Farhad Mehdipour, Christiaan William for the opportunity!
