How do we learn? In today's era of AI and endless information, this question is more important than ever — and too often overlooked.
Last night, I had the honour of delivering a keynote at CITANZ (Chinese IT Association NZ), where I introduced my unpatented T.O.M. framework (Think, Orchestrate, Move). This method is the culmination of 24 years of diverse experiences in New Zealand—from arriving in 2001 with just $5 and broken English, to rising from a waiter to becoming a Big Corporate AI Capability Lead, and now pioneering AI-powered solutions for NZ job seekers. Along the way, I’ve been fortunate to learn from countless successful professionals whose insights have shaped my journey.
The evening was truly inspiring, filled with dynamic conversations with emerging IT talents and seasoned experts alike. I hope my speech sparked fresh ideas and motivated others to embrace a strategic, systemic approach to learning—one that harnesses the power of both human connection and AI.
