đź’ˇTurn Submissions into Learning Opportunities

After months of waiting, I finally received an email reply about a job I was convinced was my perfect match (because let’s face it, we all do when we hit that APPLY button right?)


When the reply came, I felt the need to respond and seek personal feedback to make those months of waiting feel worthwhile. But reality hit hard: the email seems come from an automated HR system, no human name included, ending with a robotic “Please do not reply to this email as we may not respond.”

 



Ouch.

While there were no hard feelings, I found myself thinking: what if I turned to AI for feedback instead? That thought led me down an exciting path. With help from a few friends in HR, I set out to build an Application Tracking System (ATS) style prototype that provides meaningful feedback on CVs to any job applications, instantly!


Why did we embark on this?
- Getting individual feedback from potential employers is tough.
- Job seekers often spend countless hours on applications that don’t fit as well as they think.
- Without knowing what’s missing, learning and improvement feel impossible.
